Softball Recap: Columbia Comes Up Short

Columbia fell victim to Warden and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Cougars, falling 17-0. The Coyotes have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Columbia saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Makena Kranz, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Columbia's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Warden, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Cougars beat Columbia by a score of 12-0 later that day.
