Basketball Recap: Highland Comes Up Short

Highland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 45-36 to the Clark County Indians. The Cougars were not able to make up for their defeat to the Indians from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Harrison Parker was his usual excellent self, going 7 of 13 en route to 16 points along with seven rebounds and three steals for Clark County. Wyatt Davis also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

Highland's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Clark County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.

Highland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 53-36 defeat against Palmyra on the 20th. As for Clark County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 54-33 loss against Monroe City on the 21st.
