Baseball Recap: Paxton-Buckley-Loda Comes Up Short

After flying high against Salt Fork last Saturday, Paxton-Buckley-Loda came back down to earth. The Panthers lost 9-2 to the Tolono Unity Rockets on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Rockets: they've now lost five in a row.

Paxton-Buckley-Loda saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Cole, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Cole has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last nine times he's played.

Paxton-Buckley-Loda's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Tolono Unity, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.
