Basketball Recap: Cascade Christian Piles Up the Points Against Klahowya

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cascade Christian). They claimed a resounding 68-37 win over the Klahowya Eagles. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Klahowya lost on Friday despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Bailey O'Brien, who posted 19 points and six rebounds. O'Brien has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. Another player making a difference was Marne Steedman, who had seven points and six rebounds.

The victory made it two in a row for Cascade Christian and bumps their season record up to 7-2. As for Klahowya, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Cascade Christian and Klahowya could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings. Cascade Christian (ranked 118th) will meet Bellevue Christian (ranked 28th) at 5:30 p.m. on January 17th. Meanwhile, Klahowya (ranked 281st) will meet Annie Wright (ranked 39th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
