AA River Ridge recap Oct. 9, 2012
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Pulaski County, who took down 44th ranked Christiansburg, 17-14.
Salem extended the longest winning streak in AA River Ridge this week by beating Cave Spring, 28-21. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Spartans.
Hidden Valley's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Titans feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Nic Ratliff has thrown for 412 yards and four touchdowns this season, while Jake Kite has 12 catches for 198 yards. Walker Brand leads the league in rushing with 503 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Hidden Valley takes on the Blue Demons. As it stands, the Titans are in fourth, while Christiansburg is in second.
Salem suffered a letdown when it was bounced from the state Top 25 this week after beating the Knights. Steve Magenbauer's team had been ranked 25th, but fell to 32 following the defeat.
