Baseball Recap: Lewis County Comes Up Short

If Lewis County was riding high fresh off their 17-4 takedown of Bracken County on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lions lost 18-4 to the Johnson Central Golden Eagles on Saturday.

Cameron Farris was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Lewis County's loss dropped their record down to 7-21. As for Johnson Central, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 22-7.

Looking ahead, Lewis County will head out to square off against Raceland at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Rams' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Lions' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Johnson Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
