Football Game Preview: Brainerd Panthers vs. Tyner Academy Rams + How To Watch

Brainerd is 0-9 against Tyner Academy since October of 2015 but things could change on Saturday. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 1:00 p.m. Tyner Academy took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Brainerd, who comes in off a win.

Brainerd is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They strolled past Chattanooga Central with points to spare two weeks ago, taking the game 23-6.

Brainerd didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Emery Foster and Brandon Sutton Jr.

Meanwhile, Tyner Academy came up short against Nashville Christian two weeks ago and fell 49-42. The loss was the Rams' first of the season.

Brainerd will have to contain Jamarion Dowdell as he made an impact in Tyner Academy's last game. He rushed for 116 yards and two scores on only 13 carries, and also picked up 141 receiving yards. Dowdell's longest reception was for an impressive 62 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per catch total.

Having lost for the first time this season, Tyner Academy fell to 7-1. As for Brainerd, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.
