Basketball Recap: Douglas Comes Up Short

Douglas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They received a blow as they fell 55-41 to the Gering Bulldogs.

Douglas' loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Gering, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

Douglas won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Chadron at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Gering, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Lexington at 1:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
