Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Midview). They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Avon Eagles 9-7. This was a revenge game for the Middies: when they faced off against the Eagles on Monday, they had to take a 7-4 defeat.

The team relied heavily on Kaiden Vogelpohl, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Chase Harper also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Midview's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-11. As for Avon, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.

Midview will host Hudson at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Avon, they will head out to challenge Brunswick at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
