Softball Game Preview: Strawn Greyhounds vs. Ranger Bulldogs

The Strawn Greyhounds will venture away from home to take on the Ranger Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Strawn has given up an average of 11.2 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Strawn managed to slip by Huckabay the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Greyhounds lost 12-0 to the Indians on Tuesday. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Greyhounds were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Ranger was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Santo, falling 15-0.

Strawn's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Ranger, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Everything went Strawn's way against Ranger in their previous meeting last Tuesday, as Strawn made off with a 16-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Greyhounds since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
