The Valley Christian Trojans will take on the Page Sand Devils at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Valley Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.4 runs per game this season.

Page's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Saturday: Valley Christian hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Trojans' pitcher stepped up to hand Florence a 17-0 shutout on Monday. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Gophers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Leigha Kremlacek made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. Kremlacek was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lo Sloan, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Maddy Harmon, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Valley Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .609. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in nine consecutive games.

Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Page walked away with it. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Gophers on Wednesday, sneaking past 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Sand Devils have posted since March 14th.

Page is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Valley Christian, their win bumped their record up to 24-3-1.
