Softball Recap: St. Ursula Academy Takes a Loss

St. Ursula Academy and Northview squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but St. Ursula Academy had to settle for second. They fell 6-2 to the Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-2 back in March.

St. Ursula Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooke Bowers, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles.

St. Ursula Academy has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season. As for Northview, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-7-1.

St. Ursula Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Northview, they will host Napoleon at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Northview's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Napoleon has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
