Basketball Recap: Toll Gate Takes a Loss

Toll Gate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Cranston East Thunderbolts and fell 58-27. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 45-29 two weeks ago.

Allen Lyndey was Toll Gate's leading scorer, having posted ten points. Mary McNulty held things down on the boards with four rebounds.

Toll Gate's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Cranston East, their victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Toll Gate will host East Greenwich at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. East Greenwich has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Cranston East, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Middletown at 7:00 p.m.
