Basketball Recap: Dilley Takes a Loss

Dilley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against the Lytle Pirates, falling 49-14. The Wolves lost against the Pirates in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 94-17 score last time.

Lytle's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lunna Reyes, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 21 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Aliana Cardenas, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds.

Dilley's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Lytle, they moved to 4-9 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Dilley will head out to square off against Hondo at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lytle, they will host Poteet at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
