Recap: Georgetown-Ridge Farm Buffaloes vs. Heritage Hawks
The Georgetown-Ridge Farm Buffaloes pushed their score all the way to 62 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 66-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of Heritage. Georgetown-Ridge Farm's loss continues a unfortunate trend for the squad, making it six in a row.
Despite the loss, Georgetown-Ridge Farm still got an impressive performance from J.J. Hall, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Jase Latoz, who scored 14 points.
Even though they lost, Georgetown-Ridge Farm were working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Heritage found their leader in underclassman Rylan White, who scored 27 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. The game was White's third in a row with at least ten points. Clark Roland was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Georgetown-Ridge Farm's defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 3-12. As for Heritage, their victory ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-12.
Georgetown-Ridge Farm will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Indiana Math & Science Academy North at 10:00 a.m. on December 29th. Hopefully Indiana Math & Science Academy North focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Thursday. As for Heritage, they will play host again and welcome Non Varsity Tournament Opponent, where tip off is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. on Friday. Non Varsity Tournament Opponent is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
