Maquoketa won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They came up short against the Monticello Panthers, falling 59-36. The match marked the Cardinals' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Maquoketa's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Monticello, they pushed their record up to 10-3 with the win, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.
