Basketball Recap: Leonidas Krantz's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Carlin over Mcdermitt

Carlin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the McDermitt Bulldogs, falling 58-32. The Railroaders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Several Railroaders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Leonidas Krantz, who posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was Landon Huntley, who put up 13 points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead McDermitt to victory, but perhaps none more so than Shandon Camas, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 16 rebounds. Camas is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least ten every time he's taken the court this season. Warrick Crutcher was another key player, putting up 12 points along with eight assists and six rebounds.

Carlin's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for McDermitt, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Carlin has already played their next match, a 69-38 defeat against Owyhee on the 21st. As for McDermitt, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 59-43 loss against Eureka on the 24th.
