Soccer Recap: Englewood Comes Up Short

After flying high against Paxon School For Advanced Studies last Tuesday, Englewood came back down to earth. The Englewood Rams lost 3-0 to the Beachside Barracudas on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 286th, while the Barracudas are ranked 56th).

Englewood's loss dropped their record down to 2-5-1. As for Beachside, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.

Englewood didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Matanzas on the 9th. As for Beachside, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 2-2 draw against Bartram Trail on the 10th.
