Basketball Game Preview: Lincoln Park Lions vs. Clark Eagles

The Lincoln Park Lions will venture away from home to take on the Clark Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lincoln Park knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Clark likes a good challenge.

Lincoln Park is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past MacArthur, posting a 101-47 win. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Saturday Clark sidestepped Westinghouse for a 45-42 victory. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 180th, while the Warriors are ranked 430th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Clark is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.8 points per game. As for Lincoln Park, their record now sits at 20-3.

Lincoln Park was able to grind out a solid win over Clark in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, winning 75-64. Will Lincoln Park repeat their success, or does Clark have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
