Football Recap: T.C. Roberson Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Karod Harris and Kanyus Atkins

T.C. Roberson extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 1-3. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 20-14 heartbreaker at the hands of the Freedom Patriots. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2016.

Despite the loss, T.C. Roberson had strong showings from Kanyus Atkins, who picked up 105 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and Karod Harris, who threw for 198 yards and a pair of TDs.

As for Freedom, their victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 43.8 points this season.

A big part of Freedom's victory came down to the chemistry between Kaden Davis and his top target Noah Francis. Davis threw for 314 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 13.1 yards per attempt while Francis picked up 131 receiving yards and a pair of scores. A healthy portion of Davis' aerial production (111 yards to be exact) also went to Juju Dominguez.

Looking ahead, T.C. Roberson will challenge South Caldwell at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Freedom, they will take on A.C. Reynolds at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
