Baseball Recap: Tulare Union Takes a Loss

Tulare Union lost against Independence back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Tribe fell 6-1 to the Falcons. The Tribe have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ryan Matthews was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Tulare Union's loss dropped their record down to 6-13-1. As for Independence, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.

Tulare Union will square off against Tulare Western at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Tribe surely won't give up without a fight. As for Independence, they have already played their next contest, a 21-6 win against Highland on the 21st.
