Basketball Recap: Knoxville A Ambassadors vs. KACHEA Wildcats
Knoxville A was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss. They were outmatched by the KACHEA Wildcats and fell 72-24. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, with their most recent defeat being a 75-44 loss back in January.
KACHEA's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Noah Coclough, who posted 14 points and six steals. What's more, Coclough also posted a 75% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. Andrew Joyner was another key player, putting up nine points in addition to eight boards and three steals.
Knoxville A's defeat dropped their record down to 0-19. As for KACHEA, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-13.
Knoxville A will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Surry HomeSchool at 5:00 p.m. on March 5th. KACHEA has already played their next contest (against Appalachian Christian HomeSchool), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
