Softball Recap: Miles Comes Up Short

Miles was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They lost 24-9 to the Eldorado Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, with their most recent loss being a 8-7 defeat back in March.

Allyson Matheny made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Daelyn Stevens was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2.

Miles' record now sits at 4-17-1. As for Eldorado, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Miles will challenge Wall at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hawks will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Eldorado, they will square off against Colorado at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolves have averaged an impressive 10.4 runs per game this season.
