Basketball Game Preview: Roosevelt Mustangs vs. Kimball Knights

The Roosevelt Mustangs and the Kimball Knights will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played.

Roosevelt is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Carter just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 58-49 to the Cowboys. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 311th, while the Cowboys are ranked 119th).

Meanwhile, Kimball came tearing into Monday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They breezed by the Eagles to the tune of 79-34. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 20 points or more this season.

Kimball is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32.6 points. As for Roosevelt, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 13-11.
