 After two games on the road, Smithfield is heading back home. They will take on the St. Mary Academy-Bay View Bengals at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday. St. Mary Academy-Bay View took a loss in their last  game and will be looking to turn the tables on Smithfield, who comes in off a win.
 On Thursday, Smithfield beat North Kingstown 7-4.
  Crystal Cacador was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She  tossed 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits. Cacador has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive pitching appearances. Cacador was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-4.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Skyla Oliveira, who  got on base  in all four of her plate appearances with a  home run and two  runs.  Lily Riggin was another key contributor,  going 1-for-4 with three  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for St. Mary Academy-Bay View's offense. They lost  9-0 to Chariho on Thursday. The  matchup marked the first time this year in which St. Mary Academy-Bay View was not able to get on the board.
 Smithfield's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for St. Mary Academy-Bay View, their defeat was  their sixth straight at home, which  dropped their record down to 1-9.
 Smithfield took their  victory against St. Mary Academy-Bay View  when the teams last played  back in April of 2023 by a conclusive  6-0. Does  Smithfield have another victory up their sleeve, or will St. Mary Academy-Bay View turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
