Volleyball Recap: St. Thomas More Comes Up Short

St. Thomas More was the 2-1 winner over Athens when they last played one another on Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Sabers fell 2-0 to the Warriors on Saturday. The Sabers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Their offense was headlined by Cassidy Monahan and Madi Paceley, who picked up two kills apiece. They got some help from Julianne Kerr and her three assists.

St. Thomas More's defeat dropped their record down to 22-10. As for Athens, the win snapped their losing streak at three matches and leaves them with a 26-7 record.

St. Thomas More didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against LeRoy on the 18th. As for Athens, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Illini Bluffs on the 20th.
