Basketball Recap: Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas Snags Third Win in Last Four Games

If American Heritage Academy wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas, they should've done a better job of containing Bella Robinson. The Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas Falcons simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the American Heritage Academy Patriots 56-14 thanks in part to Robinson, who dropped a double-double on 31 points and 11 boards. Her evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Bethel Birru, who posted eight points and four steals. Those eight points gave her a new career-high.

Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 39.7 points. As for American Heritage Academy, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Sports Leadership & Management at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Sports Leadership & Management is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.6 points per game this season. As for American Heritage Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Founders Classical Academy at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
