Softball Recap: Becton Takes a Loss

Becton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 8-1 to the Ridgefield Memorial Royals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Royals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-2 back in April.

Becton's loss dropped their record down to 0-18. As for Ridgefield Memorial, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-10.

Looking ahead, Becton will face off against North Arlington at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ridgefield Memorial, they will challenge Wood-Ridge at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Royals will need to watch out since the Blue Devils have now posted at least ten runs in their last five contests.
