Basketball Game Preview: Argo Argonauts vs. Hinsdale Central Red Devils

The Argo Argonauts will challenge the Hinsdale Central Red Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Thursday, Argo was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 52-48 to Richards. The Argonauts have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Hinsdale Central entered their tilt with Plainfield Central on Thursday with four consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with five. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Wildcats 55-12. The Red Devils have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Hinsdale Central pushed their record up to 22-7 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.8 points over those games. As for Argo, they now have a losing record of 13-14.

Argo was dealt a bruising 81-16 loss at the hands of Hinsdale Central in their previous matchup back in February of 2022. Can Argo avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
