Football Recap: Mooreland Bearcats vs. Mangum Tigers

Mooreland entered their matchup against Mangum on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Mooreland Bearcats were outmatched by the Mangum Tigers at home and fell 40-8. The Bearcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.

This is the second loss in a row for Mooreland and nudges their season record down to 4-2. As for Mangum, the win for them keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when Bearcats takes on Carnegie at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mooreland is facing Carnegie at the right time seeing as Carnegie is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Mangum, they will venture away from home to face off against Cordell at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing isn't great for Cordell: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Mangum has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.
