Oak Forest Academy is ranked highly in their home state and on Tuesday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Columbia Academy. The Yellowjackets came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 5-1. Winning may never get old, but the Yellowjackets sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row.

Logan Freche spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up 13 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Oak Forest Academy's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Benton Burris, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base. Blayke Danna was another, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

Oak Forest Academy's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Columbia Academy, their loss ended a nine-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-7.
