Baseball Recap: Foxborough Regional Charter Takes a Loss

Foxborough Regional Charter extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Monday, dropping their season record down to 0-4 in the process. They came up short against the Boston Collegiate Hurricanes, falling 20-0. If Foxborough Regional Charter was looking for revenge after losing 10-0 to Boston Collegiate when the teams met back in May of 2017, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Foxborough Regional Charter saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adonis Ofilos, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

As for Boston Collegiate, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

On Boston Collegiate's side, Ronan Foley looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Boston Collegiate got a massive performance out of Ryan Alexander, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, four RBI, and one double. Those four runs gave Alexander a new career-high. Joe DiBlasi was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Foxborough Regional Charter didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 7-6 win against Academy of Strategic Learning on the 14th. As for Boston Collegiate, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 7-2 victory against Salem Academy Charter on the 13th.
