Basketball Game Preview: Mingo Valley Christian Eagles vs. Union Christian Academy Eagles

We've got a battle between Eagles coming up. Mingo Valley Christian is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Mingo Valley Christian was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 36-32 to Regent Prep.

The losing side was boosted by Jadyn Williams, who posted 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Owens, who put up seven points.

Meanwhile, Union Christian Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Mount Ida on Friday, but they still walked away with a 43-39 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Union Christian Academy's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-9. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.4 points over those games. As for Mingo Valley Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 6-17.

Mingo Valley Christian and Union Christian Academy were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in January, but Mingo Valley Christian came up empty-handed after a 46-45 defeat. Can Mingo Valley Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
