Basketball Recap: Robert C. Byrd Takes a Loss

After flying high against Lewis County last Thursday, Robert C. Byrd came back down to earth. The Eagles fell 70-63 to the Musselman Applemen on Friday. The Eagles have struggled against the Applemen recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Robert C. Byrd's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Musselman, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Coming up, Robert C. Byrd and Hampshire will face off at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. As for Musselman, they will head out to square off against Boonsboro at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Applemen will be up against the Warriors' rather soft defense (which has allowed 71.83 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
