Soccer Recap: Schaumburg Beats Barrington for Their Third Straight Win

While Schaumburg's victory against Barrington wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Saxons' defense stepped up to hand the Fillies/Broncos a 1-0 shutout on Friday. The win was all the more spectacular given Schaumburg's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 118th, while Barrington are ranked 34th).

Schaumburg's one-goal win came courtesy of Mati Krzanowski, who's now up to three this season.

The victory was the third in a row for Schaumburg, bringing their record up to 6-4-2. As for Barrington, their loss ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-3-2.
