Mt. Ararat has gone 9-1 against Morse recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Eagles will challenge the Shipbuilders at 4:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Morse will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Mt. Ararat extended their winning streak to four on Monday. Mt. Ararat was the clear victor by a 16-1 margin over Lincoln Academy. That looming 16-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Mt. Ararat yet this season.
Warren Graybill looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Brady Hiltz, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that he has snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Jake Morrell, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.
Mt. Ararat always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .513. The last time their OBP was this high was back in May of 2025.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Morse, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They blew past Medomak Valley 11-4 on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Shipbuilders considering their one-run performance the game before.
Morse also got a great performance from Christian Hallowell as he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up four earned runs off three hits.
At the plate, Cameron Griffee was incredible, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. He has become a key player for Morse: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-4 otherwise. Caden Wells was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Mt. Ararat's record is now 7-1. As for Morse, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Tuesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Mt. Ararat has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .449. However, it's not like Morse struggles in that department as they've averaged .467. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Mt. Ararat's way against Morse in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, as Mt. Ararat made off with a 7-0 victory. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Shipbuilders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
