Baseball Recap: Kingsbury Triumphs

While Kingsbury's win against Memphis East wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Kingsbury came out on top in a nail-biter against Memphis East on Thursday, sneaking past 12-11. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Emanuel Arevalo was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Landon Harris, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3.

Kingsbury's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-4. As for Memphis East, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-5.

Coincidentally, Kingsbury and Memphis East will both be playing Craigmont the next time they take the field. Memphis East will head out to face Craigmont at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, while Kingsbury will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
