Center Grove had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Franklin Community Grizzly Cubs on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Trojans sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row.

Hudson Stewart and Drake McClurg did most of the damage at the plate: Stewart went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double, while McClurg went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Grady Grant was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Center Grove's victory bumped their record up to 27-4. As for Franklin Community, they moved to 18-10 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Center Grove wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Evansville North on the 14th. Franklin Community does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
