The Branson Bulls will face off against the San Domenico Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Branson will be strutting in after a victory while San Domenico will be coming in after a loss.
Branson had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Marin Academy on Saturday. Branson blew past Marin Academy 11-1.

Cobe Benjamin was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Benjamin was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in runs.
In other batting news, Branson let Holden Cane and Jonah Bordon run wild. Cane scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-4, while Bordon scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those two stolen bases gave Cane a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mo Jacoby, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.
Branson was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Marin Academy only posted a batting average of .176.
Meanwhile, San Domenico fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against The Bay School on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Breakers by a score of 2-1. The game marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.
San Domenico saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Oliver Bennett, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.
Branson's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-4. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing 9.33 hits in those games compared to only four in the others. As for San Domenico, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Branson has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like San Domenico struggles in that department as they've been averaging 9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Branson took their victory against San Domenico in their previous matchup back in March of 2023 by a conclusive 12-3. Does Branson have another victory up their sleeve, or will San Domenico turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
