Softball Recap: Lufkin Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lufkin can now relate to. They lost 8-2 to the Walnut Grove Wildcats on Wednesday. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Panthers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Lufkin's defeat dropped their record down to 22-5. As for Walnut Grove, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-7 record this season.

While Lufkin had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
