Volleyball Recap: Walnut Grove Comes Up Short on the Road Against Centennial

Walnut Grove had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Centennial Titans. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Titans: they've now lost three in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 19-25, 25-22, 25-10.

Despite the defeat, Walnut Grove had strong showings from Lauren Aguilar, who had 26 digs and three assists, and Maleah Evans, who had 20 assists and ten digs. Aguilar is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last 19 games she's played dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Walnut Grove will face off against Wakeland at 6:30 p.m. on the 19th. As for Centennial, they will host Denton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
