Soccer Game Preview: Thunderbird vs. Arcadia

The Thunderbird Titans will square off against the Arcadia Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Thunderbird and three for Arcadia.

Thunderbird managed to keep up with Coconino until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Thunderbird lost 7-1 to Coconino. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 145th, while the Panthers are ranked 48th).

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Arcadia's offense. They came up short against Desert Mountain on Monday, falling 6-0.

Thunderbird's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Arcadia, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Thunderbird was able to grind out a solid victory over Arcadia in their previous matchup back in December of 2017, winning 2-0. Will Thunderbird repeat their success, or does Arcadia have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
