Baseball Recap: Campbell-Savona Takes a Loss

Campbell-Savona blew Canisteo out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday Canisteo got their revenge. The Panthers might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 4-2 to the Redskins, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Panthers just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Zac Corell was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Chance Miller, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Campbell-Savona's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Canisteo, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Looking ahead, Campbell-Savona will venture away from home to challenge Whitman at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Canisteo will be paying especially close attention to the Panthers' game: after the Panthers face off against the Wildcats, they'll take on Canisteo again at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
