Football Game Preview: Wyalusing Valley Rams vs. Troy Trojans

Wyalusing Valley is 0-9 against Troy since September of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Rams will take on the Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Wyalusing Valley has given up an average of 26.4 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Wyalusing Valley's last matchup with South Williamsport could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Friday. The Rams were outmatched by the Mountaineers and fell 55-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Rams were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Troy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They blew past the Black Knights 44-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Trojans' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 97th, while the Black Knights are ranked 483rd).

Wyalusing Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Troy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Wyalusing Valley took a serious blow against Troy when the teams last played back in September of 2024, falling 41-6. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
