Basketball Recap: Spencer Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Spencer can now relate to. They took a 75-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hurley Northstars on Friday.

Spencer has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-10 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points over those games. The win (which was Hurley's seventh in a row) raised their record to 22-4.

Spencer does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hurley, they have already played their next game, a 64-32 defeat against Stratford on the 8th.
