Basketball Recap: Homeschool Resource Center Falls Despite Big Games from Deuce Johnson and Noel Green

HomeSchool Resource Center lost against Hammond Baptist back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The HomeSchool Resource Center Patriots took a 43-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hammond Baptist Swordsmen. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 357th in Illinois, while the Swordsmen are ranked 135th in Indiana).

Noel Green and Deuce Johnson certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Green almost dropped a triple-double on ten points, 12 boards, and nine steals, while Johnson posted 14 points. Green has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played.

HomeSchool Resource Center's defeat dropped their record down to 9-18. As for Hammond Baptist, their win bumped their record up to 9-1.

HomeSchool Resource Center wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 54-42 victory against State Line Christian on the 6th. As for Hammond Baptist, they have also already played their next match, a 75-69 win against Victory Christian Academy on the 7th.
