Recap: Providence Prep Rams vs. Methodist Children's Home Bulldogs
The Providence Prep Rams entered their tilt with the Methodist Children's Home Bulldogs with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Providence Prep pulled ahead with a 35-34 photo finish over Methodist Children's Home. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Providence Prep has scored all season.
Maddox Billman continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 22 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Clark Morrison, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Despite the loss, Methodist Children's Home saw an underclassman step up: Londen Bickham scored 18 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Bickham has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last ten times he's played. Elijah Williams was another key contributor, scoring five points along with two steals.
Providence Prep has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Methodist Children's Home, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Providence Prep will take on St. Mary's at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Methodist Children's Home, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Hill at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th. Hopefully Hill focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 two weeks ago.
