Softball Recap: Yelm Tornados vs. Timberline Blazers

After a string of four wins, Yelm's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Timberline Blazers. Yelm was red-hot at the plate headed into the matchup (they scored no less than ten runs in the four games prior) but Timberline's pitcher proved too tough.

For Timberline's part, they let Nevaeh Haagen and Kassidy Jack loose on the outfield. Haagen scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances, while Jack scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Yelm's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Timberline, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Yelm will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on North Thurston at 3:30 p.m. on April 8th. As for Timberline, they are on the road again on Thursday to play Gig Harbor at 6:00 p.m. Gig Harbor is coming into the contest with three straight wins at home, so Timberline will have to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
