Monterey and Vidalia are an even 4-4 against one another since February of 2015, but likely not for long. The Wolves will head out to challenge the Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Monterey is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Monterey came up short against Oak Hill on Thursday, falling 12-2.

Monterey saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Hitt, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Hitt also put up an RBI, which was his first of the season.

Meanwhile, Vidalia came up short against Marksville on Tuesday and fell 13-10. The defeat continues a trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost four in a row.

Vidalia's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Monterey, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-15.

Monterey came out on top in a nail-biter against Vidalia when the teams last played on Friday, sneaking past 5-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolves since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
