Football Recap: Hayes Goddard Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Woodland + How To Watch

Philip Simmons won the last time they faced Woodland and things went their way on Friday too. The Iron Horses put the hurt on the Wolverines with a sharp 39-14 victory. Considering the Iron Horses have won three games by more than 24 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Philip Simmons got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Hayes Goddard out in front who threw for 302 yards and four TDs while picking up 11.6 yards per attempt. Those 302 passing yards gave Goddard a new career-high. Omonte Taylor helped Goddard out on the ground, rushing for 100 yards and one touchdown on only 12 carries.

Philip Simmons' victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 9.3 points on average over those games. As for Woodland, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3.
